Maxim DS8500 connection

Hi there i want to try a ds8500 modem on rs-232 transcevier or on a pic like 18f45k22

does somebody have a diagram or explanation for this issue
i dont know where and how to connect pin RST_N or HOCD
from 8500 evaluation board
