Hi Jan,

From the command summary HART specification:

Framing Error - The Stop Bit of one or more bytes received by the device was not detected by the UART (i.e. a mark or 1 was not detected when a Stop Bit should have occurred).

Evey HART data frame byte consists of 11 bits. The first is the start bit (0), followed by an 8 data bits (0's or 1's), a parity bit (1 or 0), and a stop bit (1). If the device doesn't see a stop bit in one or more bytes of the message, it reporst a framing error in its response.

Sounds like your host isn't properly formatting the bytes in the data message being sent, or perhaps, your device is misinterpreting the data stream. What host are you using?

Chris
